We understand that every job is unique, and it's not always straightforward to provide an exact cost for PAT testing your electrical equipment. However, we’ve put together an overview of our standard pricing to give you a clear idea of what to expect.
Our pricing is competitive and transparent, designed to offer exceptional value for the service you receive. At Marcaz, we take electrical safety seriously. We don’t cut corners or rush. Instead, we deliver a thorough and reliable service. We are not the cheapest and we are proud of that. Cheap testing generally means a poorer service and we will NOT lower our standards or compromise your safety.
Our pricing is based on testing standard electrical equipment in standard workplace environments. This typically means equipment with a 3-pin plug, like those you’d use at home, in a standard workplace such as an office, retail store, or similar environment.
If the work involves more hazardous environments—such as construction sites or areas requiring specific PPE—additional charges may apply due to the increased complexity and risk. See below for other types of tests.
Our prices for PAT testing are simple; we charge £125 which covers the first 100 items we test.
This fee covers travel, testing, providing an asset register with testing results and providing a certificate of testing.
We provide a fixed fee for Landlords of residential premises. Our landlord package covers up to 25 items and includes all portable appliances, fixed appliances such as cooker, oven and electric radiators and microwave emission testing.
Additional appliances and equipment are charged at £1.50 per items.
After the first 100 items tested, we charge a low, simple, flat fee for each item we test thereafter. Our flat fee’s start from just 75p per test depending on how many you have.

For small businesses with only a few appliances or equipment, that are within a 30 minute drive of our premises, we offer a fixed fee of £50.00 for up to 25 items
Fixed appliances are those that that have been 'hard wired' or 'fixed' to the mains via a Spur box.
These appliances will be visually inspected and those with an Earth protection will be tested for earth continuity. The price per item for this is exactly the same as for Portable Appliances as above.
Please see our Fixed Appliance Testing page for further details.
If you require us to complete a full test on fixed appliances, the power needs to be turned off and fully isolated, which is usually at a consumer unit. This is to allow for the spur to be opened safely to conduct a full test.
This costs £30 for the first hour and £30 per hour pro rata thereafter.
Please see our Fixed Appliance Testing page for further details.
